It All Started At the botox course
Since completing the botox course just four years ago, Dr. Robert Dale has emerged as a standout success in the field of medical aesthetics, transforming his career from hospitalist medicine and cardiac surgery assisting, to a leading figure in British Columbia for delivering cosmetic procedures. "The botox course was a turning point. The hands-on training provided the right mindset, techniques, and approach to set me on the path to success,” says Dr. Dale. The extensive hands-on training provided by the botox course played a pivotal role in setting the trajectory of Dr. Dale’s career.
A Journey Into Aesthetics
Dr. Dale’s aesthetic career journey began after gaining vital skills and confidence at the botox course. This led him to a dental office needing a cosmetic injector and performing high-volume treatments to open a successful aesthetics clinic in White Rock, BC. In addition to being a clinic owner, Dr. Dale has also followed Dr. Dargie’s footsteps taking over the role of Medical Director of a very prominent downtown Vancouver clinic.
Before venturing into aesthetics, Dr. Dale's background was deeply rooted in hospital medicine. Dr. Dale began residency training in Urology and transitioned to family medicine where he focused on hospitalist medicine and cardiac surgery.
“Transitioning into the world of aesthetics was a significant change, but I saw the potential to make a positive impact in a different way."
Favourite Aspect of Aesthetics
Among his favourite aspects of his aesthetics career, Dr. Dale deeply appreciates the transformative impact these treatments have on his patients' lives. "Seeing the positive difference these treatments make is incredibly rewarding. It goes beyond enhancing physical appearance; it positively influences patients' confidence and well-being." This sentiment has been shared widely by ATC alumni who have advanced their careers by taking the botox course and the filler course.
For those embarking on a career in aesthetics, Dr. Dale offers a valuable tip, "This job is different from our normal public medicine roles. Success won't be handed to you; you need to put yourself out there and work for it. However, this challenge is what makes it motivating and rewarding. What you put into it, you get out. It doesn't really feel like work to me."
Best Piece of Advice For New Injectors
When asked to reflect on the best advice he's received, Dr. Dale emphasizes the importance of setting expectations. This simple yet profound guidance has undoubtedly contributed to his ability to navigate the dynamic and evolving field of medical aesthetics successfully. This is a cornerstone in the botox course training and is how Dr. Dargie and the botox course educators begin each course they teach. Always take time to set expectations.
