Please note that we train practitioners from across the globe, and always recommend you check-in with your local college for practice guidelines and details. Check out our courses here.
  • Can nurses provide injectable treatments independently?
Cosmetic neuromodulators such as Dysport®/Botox® and/or Dermal Fillers are prescription medications and require a prescriber within the province. Nurses must have a physician, dentist or nurse practitioner's order to provide treatment. Each province has different practice guidelines, so we always recommend you check-in with your local licensing college. Some provinces require a patient specific order following an initial assessment by an authorized prescriber such as a physician, dentist or nurse practitioner. Please contact your college for guidelines and details.
  • How are nurses paid as cosmetic injectors?
The industry typically pays nurse injectors an hourly rate, a commission on the services they provide, or a combination of the two. For example, a nurse could be paid $45/hour to work two afternoons per week offering neuromodulator and/or dermal filler treatments. Or, they could be paid a percentage of what they bill patients. If an individual was able to see five patients, each having $500 worth of work, they could be paid 10% (which would equal 5 x $500 x 10% = $250). Ready to become a Nurse Injector? Check out our courses here.
