Dr. Andrew Dargie, MD
Founder and Lead Educator
Dr. Andrew Dargie is originally from Calgary, Alberta. He attended Stanford University in California where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology. After obtaining his Medical Degree from the University of Calgary, Andrew went on to start a Vascular Surgery residency, but ultimately transferred to earn his CCFP designation. Andrew worked as an Emergency Room Physician at Penticton Regional Hospital and was the Department Head of Emergency Medicine at South Okanagan General Hospital until dedicating his time to his business and medical aesthetics practice in Kelowna. Dr. Dargie is the CEO and founder of the botox course, Canada‘s first-ever nationally standardized training program. His passion for teaching and dedication to his team ensures the highest standard of medical aesthetics training and education.

Terri Harfitt, RN
Lead Educator
Terri is a Registered Nurse with over 22 years of diverse experience, including roles in Neonatal Intensive Care, Pediatric Emergency, and at the AART Fertility Clinic in Halifax. She has been practicing medical aesthetics for more than five years. Originally from Newfoundland, Terri earned her Bachelor of Nursing degree from Memorial University in 2003. Her passion for medical aesthetics, combined with her extensive nursing background, quickly confirmed that this field was the perfect fit. Terri served as the Lead Nurse Injector at Bedford Skin Clinic in Halifax, Nova Scotia, until 2024. She then relocated to Calgary, Alberta, in January 2025, where she worked with Noir Medical Aesthetics. She is currently full-time with the botox course as an educator and course coordinator.

Dr. Brittany Macdonald, MD

Originally from New Brunswick, Dr. Brittany Macdonald grew up on the East Coast of Canada. After completing her Bachelor of Science degree at Dalhousie University she initially worked with expectant mothers as a researcher in epigenetics at the IWK Children’s Hospital in Nova Scotia. She later completed her medical degree in the nation’s capital at the University of Ottawa, before returning East for her residency in Family Medicine at Dalhousie University, where her training included a focus in skin disease and minor surgery. Dr. Macdonald currently practices advanced medical aesthetics in Calgary, Alberta, where she also continues to practice as a Family Physician. Dr. Macdonald is a passionate educator, and enjoys working with learners in both her medical and aesthetic practices.

Paula Bailey, NP
Educator
Paula was born and raised in Fort McMurray, Alberta. After earning her nursing degree in 2005, she spent 17 years working in various roles as a Registered Nurse. Her passion for improving the well-being of others led her to pursue graduate studies, and in 2023, she earned her Nurse Practitioner designation. Paula had her first injectable treatment in 2019, which sparked her journey into medical aesthetics. The transformative feeling of being refreshed and rejuvenated inspired a desire to help others experience the same confidence. She completed neuromodulator and dermal filler training with Dr. Dargie, and in recent years has become a dedicated member of the teaching team at the botox course. Paula also works out of her own private cosmetic injectables clinic in Calgary, AB. With a keen eye for detail and a commitment to setting realistic expectations, Paula is known for delivering beautiful natural results that leave her clients feeling their best.

Dr. Sarah Hodges, MD

Dr Sarah Hodges is originally from the UK and completed her medical training at Sheffield University in England. Following this she joined the British Military as an Army doctor and spent a significant amount of her practice in global medical engagements traveling all over the world. In 2019 she moved to BC with her young family and made beautiful Squamish her home. It was here she started to develop her passion for medical aesthetics following her own personal aesthetics journey and the desire to look as young as feels. In 2022 she set up her own boutique medical aesthetics clinic - The Face MD. Her focus is on rejuvenation and helping her patients get back and maintain that radiant and youthful appearance. She is also a licensed GP and rural ER physician and continues to practice in both these fields in the beautiful Sea to Sky region.

Dr. Jolene Le Roux, MD

Dr Le Roux obtained her MD from the University of Pretoria in South Africa in 2007 and after immigrating she achieved her CCFP in Canada. With a strong foundation of experience across various areas of practice, she discovered her true passion in Aesthetic medicine 13 years ago. Her unwavering commitment to safe, precise, and excellent treatment outcomes sets her apart. Additionally, she is dedicated to uplifting and shaping the future of the industry. As part of this commitment, she has been training Dentists, doctors, and nurses across Canada since 2016. Dr Le Roux is the owner and Medical Director of LUX Skin Lab, with multiple locations in Burnaby and North Vancouver, BC. She believes in staying at the forefront of medical advancements and actively promotes continuous education for herself and her team at LUX Skin Lab. Dr. Le Roux's expertise, passion, and dedication make her a trusted and respected doctor in the field of Aesthetic medicine. Her patients can be confident in receiving top-quality care and achieving their desired outcomes under her guidance.

Sarah Noble, RN

Sarah is an advanced nurse injector and owner of Iconic Beauty Aesthetics in Red Deer, AB. Graduating with a Bachelor of Science in nursing from Red Deer College in 2008, Sarah began working in the Emergency Room Department and Intensive Care Unit at the Red Deer Regional Hospital. After excelling in critical care nursing, Sarah decided to pursue her passion in the art and science of medical aesthetics in 2018. Sarah has trained with renowned plastic surgeons, doctors, and nurses, such as Dr. Swift, Dr. Cotofana, and Julie Horne. In addition, Sarah graduated with excellence as an advanced clinical aesthetician and laser technician, which allows her to apply comprehensive knowledge for medical aesthetic treatments. In 2020, Sarah opened her own clinic, Iconic Beauty Aesthetics.

Brynn Fitzgerald, RN
Educator
Brynn is a Registered Nurse who was born and raised in Calgary, Alberta. She completed her undergraduate degree in Nursing at the University of Calgary. Her experience as a registered nurse began in preventative health where she has worked with diverse populations including vulnerable, professional athletes, youth, and seniors. She realized not only did she love making a difference in people’s lives, but that she has a creative side and a meticulous eye for beauty and aesthetics. Pursuing her career in the medical aesthetics world, Brynn has taken extensive training for cosmetic injectables through the botox course and the filler course, Canada’s gold standard for cosmetic injectables. Brynn also completed the Canadian Fellowship of Cosmetic Injectables program. Brynn works injects full time as @nurseinjector.byrnn in Calgary.

Dr. Joshua Song, MD

Dr. Joshua Song grew up in the lower mainland of BC and obtained his medical license at the University of British Columbia (UBC). He completed his family medicine residency at UBC and went on to pursue a hospital medicine fellowship at the University of Toronto. He currently works as a hospitalist at Surrey Memorial Hospital and is also the director at large for the medical staff association. He found his passion for aesthetics after training with the Botox Course and has not stopped since! He has gone on to train across Canada and even Korea. He currently practices advanced aesthetic medicine at the Medical Rejuvenation Centre in Vancouver. Further, he is also a director of the Korean Academy of Facelift and Contouring in Seoul, South Korea. Though he is an avid user of Botox, fillers, and biostimulators, one of his interests is in regenerative aesthetics, which has led him to delve deep into the world of threadlifting!

Dr. Robert Dale, MD

Dr. Robert Dale grew up in beautiful Vancouver, BC. He completed an Honours Bachelors of Science degree in Biochemistry at Western University before returning home to the University of British Columbia for his medical training. He completed two years of Urologic Surgery residency training in addition to his Family Medicine residency. He currently practices aesthetic medicine full time where he has a passion for combining technical skill with an artistic touch. Dr. Dale also like to keep his surgical skills sharp and continues to work as a Cardiac Surgery assist in the busiest cardiac centre in BC. Dr. Dale strives to achieve authentic and natural aesthetic outcomes with each and every one of his patients and is truly committed to sharing this with all who wish to pursue aesthetics.

Dr. Jesse Thompson, MD

Dr. Jesse Thompson is originally from southern Ontario. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Windsor, before completing his Medical degree at the University of Ottawa. He then moved to the Okanagan to complete a residency in Family Medicine with a special focus on Interventional Pain Management. Dr. Thompson currently practices advanced medical aesthetics in British Columbia’s Kootenays region. He also runs an interventional pain clinic where he often uses botulinum toxin for its therapeutic effects. Across all of this, he cares for his family practice, with a focus on longevity and preventive medicine.

Sandra Kehler, NP

I’ve enjoyed a rewarding 20 year nursing career that includes working as a Nurse Practitioner for the past 15 years. My career has allowed me to work in several medical settings including the ER, addictions, mental health, primary care, and aesthetics. I currently split my time evenly between my busy aesthetics practice and working in an addictions clinic. I love working with people where they’re at, to help them realize their fullest potential.

Lyndsey Gallant, RN

Lyndsey is a Registered Nurse with over 18 years of clinical experience, primarily in pediatric emergency care, and five years as a certified nurse injector in medical aesthetics. Her love for aesthetic medicine stems from its ability to enhance confidence and help patients feel their best. Dedicated to ongoing professional development, Lyndsey regularly attends industry conferences and advanced training. She recently completed the Nurse Practitioner Master of Nursing program at Dalhousie University to further enhance her skills, knowledge, and assessment skills. Based in Bedford, Nova Scotia, Lyndsey is focused on growing her aesthetic practice, delivering personalized care tailored to each patient's unique needs.

Dr. Steven Huynh, MD

Steven Huynh, MD is the Medical Director for External Affairs, one of Alberta’s most established and prominent medical spas. A graduate of ATC’s renowned the botox course and the filler course, Dr. Huynh entered the world of aesthetic medicine with a strong technical foundation and his own natural eye for detail. Known for his exceptionally gentle hands and calm, precise technique, he delivers results that feel effortless, elevated, and unmistakably natural. His favourite procedure is collagen stimulation with Sculptra, and he maintains a strong interest in thread-based treatments for non-surgical facial lifting. Beyond his clinical work, Dr. Huynh has taught healthcare professionals across Canada how to inject safely and competently, and he is frequently called upon by local injectors for guidance when managing complications. His quiet competence, evidence-driven approach, and commitment to elevating standards in the industry have made him a trusted educator and a respected voice in Alberta’s aesthetic community.

Dr. Helen Ross, MD

Dr. Helen Ross is a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in Emergency Medicine and owns Aestheva Medical Aesthetics, a boutique aesthetics clinic in Victoria BC. She started the Emergency Medicine residency training program on Vancouver Island in 2011 and ran it for 11 years. She continues to practice Emergency Medicine as she runs her busy aesthetics practice. She is an assistant professor with University of British Columbia. Aestheva was founded on Dr. Ross’s core values of integrity, autonomy, growth and collaboration. The clinic focuses on real results that embrace and enhance our unique characteristics, fuelled by science, education and trust. Dr. Ross truly believes that aging is a privilege and perfection is a myth. She lives with her husband and three children.

Dr. Vance W. Elliot, MD

Dr. Vance Elliott is from a small town in Saskatchewan. He completed a BSc in Biology at Concordia University in Edmonton, AB and went on to Medical School at the U of S. He was Chief Resident during his Family Medicine Residency Program in Regina, SK. He began practice in Hair Restoration Surgery at the conclusion of his FMR residency in 1996. In 2005, he began practice in cosmetic injectables and has since been a pioneer in Canada in the use of cannulas for fillers. He has taught basic and advanced cannula filler technique to hundreds of injectors from North America over the past 15 years. He has a particular interest in the use and teaching of Sculptra.

Robyn Wasser, RN

Robyn is an RN based in Victoria BC. With a background in critical care and cardiology, she brings nearly 15 years of nursing experience to the field of aesthetic medicine. With an artistic eye and a passion for learning, she trained with Dr. Dargie in 2020 and completed the botox and filler course; this further ignited her passion for aesthetic nursing. Since then, she has enjoyed helping clients enhance their natural beauty and boost their confidence. Her goal is to empower aspiring injectors through education and hands-on training, ensuring they provide the highest level of care to their patients. Robyn spends her free time with her husband and two children. She currently works full-time and injects at Baker Rejuvenation Centre.

Simonne St. Amand, RN

Simonne is a dedicated nursing professional with 16 years of experience, primarily in the Emergency Room at the University of Alberta Hospital. In 2020, she discovered her passion for aesthetic medicine, where she found the opportunity to merge her extensive medical background with a focus on enhancing individual beauty at External Affairs Medspa. Simonne takes great pleasure in getting to know her clients and understanding their unique journeys. One of her favorite aspects of her work is following their stories and crafting personalized treatment plans that align with their beauty goals. She believes in a collaborative approach, ensuring each client feels supported and empowered throughout their aesthetic experience.

Jo-Lynn Gibbs, RN

Jo-Lynn is the picture of professionalism. With over 20 years in nursing she has dedicated her career to helping people through the most challenging times in their lives and has seamlessly taken that commitment and translated it into the cosmetic medicine industry. Her experience in the many facets of health care from Paediatric Intensive Care, Public Health, Trauma Medicine and Nursing Education has been seamlessly transitioned into her founding Smooth Secret RN in Sherwood Park AB. Her commitment to honesty and integrity in client outcomes keeps her clients coming back time and time again. Jo-Lynn believes that education is the key to making the best decisions for her clients and by developing partnerships with her clients she can confidently guide them in their health and beauty journey. Jo-Lynn is excited to be a part of the amazing alumni at the botox course and share her passion for educating future experts.

Lauren Landry, RN

Lauren is a Registered Nurse specializing in aesthetic medicine with over 10+ years of nursing experience. She works as a full-time nurse injector in Halifax, Nova Scotia. She prides herself in continuing education and has had the privilege of training with some of the most prestigious and well respected aesthetic practitioners in the industry. Lauren believes the key to promoting graceful and healthy aging is understanding facial anatomy and facial harmony and working with it artistically. She aims to refine, restore and enhance her patients unique beauty with undetectable injectables.

Joanna Everson, NP

Joanna Everson is a Nurse Practitioner from Calgary with 20 years of nursing experience. In 2010 she graduated the Masters of Nursing and Nurse Practitioner program from the University of Calgary. She has since spent 14 years as a Nurse Practitioner in Critical Care and Oncology. In 2020 she discovered her love of medical aesthetics and jumped at the chance to train with Dr. Dargie through the botox and filler courses, then completing her fellowship in aesthetic medicine in 2021 with Dr. Dargie in Kelowna. The practice of Medical Aesthetics has it has given her and chance to truly blend art and science while building lasting bonds with her clients. Above all, Joanna values a natural, balanced aesthetic, humour, honesty and technical excellence. She serves as Clinic Director and Injector at The Symm Label in Calgary.

Julie Yang, RN

Born in South Korea and raised in Vancouver, Julie completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Langara College, where she laid a strong foundation in clinical care. She began her career on the Acute Spine Unit at Vancouver General Hospital, gaining valuable experience in high-pressure medical environments. Driven by a deep appreciation for creativity, detail, and the transformative power of aesthetics, Julie transitioned into the field of medical aesthetics in 2020. She combines a meticulous approach with a refined artistic eye to deliver natural, beautiful results to her clients. She is continuously advancing her skills through elite training programs across the U.S., Korea, and Canada. Her mission is to provide the safest, most innovative treatments from around the world, and to empower the next generation of injectors with the highest standards of practice and care.

Tiffany Walker, PA

Tiffany Walker is a Physician Assistant (PA) practicing in Winnipeg, Manitoba. She graduated from the University of Manitoba, Faculty of Medicine’s Masters of Physician Assistant Studies (MPAS) program in 2016. She graduated from the Cardiff University’s certificate program in dermoscopy in 2019 and was a part of the Cardiff University’s Pilot program for trichoscopy and onychoscopy training in 2020. Tiffany has also completed a Professional Diploma in General Dermatology in 2024. Tiffany is a clinical teacher with the UofM’s Faculty of Medicine, and spends each clinic day training family medicine physician residents, medical students and physician assistants. Tiffany started her medical aesthetics’ practice in 2019, and has been an educator with the botox course since 2020. Tiffany was the first PA in Western Canada to become certified in Neuromodulator injections, and won the ATC ‘Trailblazer’ award in 2024 for her pioneering efforts for the PA profession to break into the Canadian medical aesthetic industry.

Mariah Cooper, RPN

Mariah Cooper is a Registered Psychiatric Nurse and the founder of MAC Injections, where she serves as the lead cosmetic injector. With a clinical background rooted in patient-centered care, Mariah brings a uniquely calming, precise, and thoughtful approach to aesthetic medicine. Her practice is built on the belief that aesthetic treatments should feel empowering, natural, and tailored to each individual. Known for her gentle technique and eye for harmony, Mariah specializes in creating balanced, long-lasting results through advanced injectable treatments, facial rejuvenation, and holistic wellness services. As both a clinic owner and nurse injector, Mariah is committed to maintaining the highest standards of safety, education, and artistry within her practice. In addition to her work in private practice, Mariah proudly serves as a Clinical Educator for the botox course, where she trains and mentors medical professionals in foundational and advanced injectable techniques. She is passionate about elevating the standards of medical aesthetics through education, hands-on guidance, and evidence-based practice.

Bradley Wynder, RN

Bradley completed his Bachelor of nursing at the University of Lethbridge. Before pursuing his love and passion for aesthetic procedures, Bradley gained experience as a nurse in rural emergency, addictions, and mental health. In 2019, Bradley opened Modern Aesthetics in southern Alberta. Bradley has gained experience educating for different educational institutes and currently holds a position as the national lead educator for a pharmaceutical company. One of his biggest passions is teaching, and he is beyond excited to have joined the botox course and to teach alongside some of the most prestigious aesthetic practitioners in the industry.

Dr. Jack Kolenda, MD
Educator
Dr. Jack Kolenda is a globally renowned facial plastic surgeon based in Canada. His journey in medicine began early, inspired by a passion for surgery. Starting his undergraduate degree in 1989, he pursued molecular biology and conducted significant research in molecular genetics and thyroid cancer. He earned his Doctor of Medicine degree in 1996 and completed a residency in Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery, focusing on the complex anatomy and diverse surgical procedures of the head and neck. For the past two decades, Dr. Kolenda has served as the Medical Director of Verso Surgery Centre in Oakville, Ontario, pioneering innovative techniques and attracting a diverse international clientele from around the globe. His collaboration with the University of Bangkok and his role as an Associate Professor at the University of Toronto underscore his influence and dedication to advancing plastic surgery.

Dr. Carmel Anderson, MD

Originally from Regina SK, Dr. Carmel Anderson completed her Medical Degree at the University of Saskatchewan and received her license to practice in the Family Medicine program in Calgary AB. Realizing the science of Skin/Dermatology was her passion, she completed her Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada for Dermatology as well as Board Certification in the USA. Dr. Anderson practised aesthetic and medical dermatology as the sole Dermatologist in the Okanagan for many years. Now in Victoria, she continues as Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Skin Sciences at UBC and she maintains a thriving and passionate practice in aesthetic and medical dermatology at Cosmedica and other clinics.

Laine Cooper, LPN

With over 15 years of nursing experience and a decade in the medical aesthetics space, Laine Cooper brings both expertise and passion to her role as a cosmetic injector. Laine has spent the last 8 years growing her skills as a cosmetic injector, specializing in advanced medical aesthetic techniques including botox, dermal fillers, biostimulators, lasers, and skin rejuvenation therapies. Throughout her career, Laine has built, grown, and sold a successful medical aesthetics business, and has trained under top physicians and surgeons from coast to coast across Canada. Her commitment to continued learning is evident. At Aria, Laine wears many hats: she’s not only the lead cosmetic injector, medical aesthetician, and director of all advanced treatment offerings. She is passionate about science, skincare, and using the latest technologies to help her patients achieve natural, confident results. Laine’s favorite part of her work is seeing the transformation in her clients-not just physically, but emotionally. She believes that when people feel good about how they look, it empowers them in every part of their lives.

Dr. Marjorie Tremblay, MD

Dr. Marjorie Tremblay has always prioritized the well-being of her patients throughout her medical career. As a trained family physician, she devoted nearly 20 years to palliative care, a demanding field where the physical and emotional comfort of end-of-life patients is paramount. As a lecturer at the University of Montreal for 19 years and an experienced speaker, Dr. Tremblay has a passion for teaching and sharing her love for medicine. In her roles as the Medical Director of the Maison de Soins Palliatifs de Laval and as a physician at Montreal’s Sacré-Cœur Hospital, she has supported thousands of patients, alleviating their suffering while providing invaluable care and comfort to their families. Guided by her core values of comfort, well-being, and attentive care, Dr. Tremblay chose to pivot her career toward a field she has always deeply admired: regenerative aesthetic medicine. Recognizing the increasing demand for natural, subtle, and progressive results, she observed a gap in the market for aesthetic services that leverage the body’s natural regenerative and repair abilities to rejuvenate and improve skin health while respecting each individual’s uniqueness.

Becky Wilkins, RN

Becky Wilkins has been a Registered Nurse for over 31 years. Combining her training as a registered nurse with her passion for helping people look and feel their best, allowed a transition into aesthetic medicine. Becky founded one of Alberta’s first Medical Spas over 25 years ago and now has 2 locations and a team of 30 staff. Aesthetic medicine not only requires an artistic eye, patient safety, and technical skill, but also a strong commitment to client satisfaction. Integrity and honest communication with prospective clients is Becky’s priority. She has been teaching injection techniques throughout Western Canada for the past 5 years for one of the largest pharmaceutical companies. Her style of teaching leaves students and models with the confidence to achieve very natural results performed in the most gentle and safest way.

Dr. Vikram Lekhi, MD

Dr. Vikram Lekhi is a Comprehensive Ophthalmologist practicing in Calgary, AB and High River, AB. He received his Bachelor of Science from Simon Fraser University, obtained his Masters in Bio-Medical Technology, Doctor of Medicine, Master’s in Business Administration, and a Residency in Ophthalmology at the University of Calgary. Dr. Lekhi is a board-certified Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Canada (FRCSC). Dr. Lekhi is an engaging lecturer with a wealth of knowledge and is one of the many reasons why the botox course is Canada’s gold standard in neuromodulator training.

Leisa Krauss

Leisa Krauss has been in the medical aesthetic industry for over 25 years – bringing honesty, expertise, humour, and a plethora of industry skills to both her patients and her clients. She’s worked alongside and assisted top Laser Surgeons, Aesthetic Physicians, and leading Dermatologists. She’s held positions in almost every area of the industry including Laser Technician & Physician Assistant, Clinical Educator, Laser Program Development, Sales, Management, and most recently Clinic Mergers & Acquisitions. During her career she’s treated thousands of patients, worked with hundreds of clinics, and managed numerous aesthetic teams. Leisa started Vanity Empire Consulting Inc. in 2013 and is passionate and obsessed with supporting her clients in building highly successful and profitable cosmetic practices.
